KENNETH DAVID YONTZ
1932-2021

WALNUT GROVE: Kenneth David Yontz, Sr., 88, died Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Kenneth was born on September 16, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late William Stokes and Ollie Shutt Yontz. He was the owner and operator of Yontz and Son Construction Company and a longtime member of Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church. Kenneth believed in being a hard worker. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching his grandkids and great grandkids grow up. Kenneth served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by 6 brothers, Bill, Doug, Don, Clifton, Carl and Michael Jay Yontz; two sisters, Pauline Wise and Evelyn Bolen; and grandson, Donald Tilley.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Libby Yontz; three children, Kenneth Yontz (Vallie), Duane Yontz (Jenny), and Tina Weaver (Kenny); grandchildren, Chad, Jamie, and Alex Yontz, Stephanie Myers, Allison Steed, Katrina Boyles, and Erika and Nicholas Weaver; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Woodruff; and brother, Max Yontz.

A 1:00 pm Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church Graveyard with Pastor Cheryl Cottingham officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church, 3680 Old Lexington Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
