Glena Mae Matthews died September 11, 2025 in Chapel Hill NC at the age of 100 years.
Glena was born September 7, 1925 to parents Albert and Freddie Hicks in Person County NC. She married her husband Joseph Matthews in Winston-Salem NC on April 8, 1944.
She was precended in death by her parents, her brother Billy, her sister Gladys and her husband in 1985. She leaves to mourn her sister Goldie, her son Joe and his wife Diane, and her grandson Jeff.
A memorial service will be held on September 27 at 2PM at Calvary Chapel Chapel Hill.
